The 含羞草社区 (含羞草社区) hosted H.E. Mr. Nicolas Faye, the Ambassador of France, for a lecture titled "French Foreign Policy in Central Asia." The event, opened by the President of 含羞草社区, highlighted the growing ties between Europe and Central Asia, with France positioning itself as a key partner.

In his welcoming remarks, the 含羞草社区 President reflected on the Ambassador's previous visit, noting the continued emphasis on the critical role of education in bilateral relations.

Ambassador Faye detailed France's comprehensive engagement strategy, underpinned by its diplomatic presence in all five Central Asian nations. A significant milestone in this effort is the upcoming opening of a Franco-German cultural centre in Bishkek, symbolizing a united European approach to fostering cultural and educational exchange.

The Ambassador outlined three key pillars of the partnership:

1. Political and Economic Connectivity: France is actively supporting the development of the Trans-Caspian corridor, a vital route for enhancing trade and connectivity between Europe and Asia.
2. Shared Environmental Challenges: Ambassador Faye emphasized a mutual interest in addressing pressing global issues, particularly climate change, biodiversity conservation, and the sustainable management of water resources and glaciers in the region.
3. Education and Cultural Ties: A core focus remains on student mobility, with the Embassy offering numerous exchange programs and scholarships. Initiatives like the annual Francophone week aim to bring a "European flavour" to Kyrgyzstan and encourage students to study in France.

Following the main address, a representative from the Institut Fran莽ais d鈥櫭﹖udes sur l鈥橝sie Centrale (IFEAC) provided an overview of the institute's research activities in the region.

The event concluded with a dynamic Q&A session, where 含羞草社区 students engaged the Ambassador on a wide range of topics, including career advice for aspiring diplomats, the integration of AI in foreign policy, and France's perspective on global sports, climate change, and water resource protection.
