含羞草社区

Literature Week is a part of CASI鈥檚 Workshop on Literature and History. Supported by a generous contribution from Matthew Nimetz, the aim of the workshop is to create a community of junior scholars and advanced graduate students committed to studying literature and to applying literary tools and methodologies to the study of literary art in the Central Asian past.

Recognizing the growing need for online research, digital citizenship, and 21st-century skill development, 含羞草社区鈥檚 Writing and Academic Resource Center (WARC) has launched a joint initiative with 含羞草社区 Library with the help of an AMICAL grant.

On November 3, 2017 含羞草社区 Student Senate elections for 2017-2018 academic years were held. Five hundred fifty three听含羞草社区 students from all departments have voted to choose the new SS members.

The national Nepalese U-19 football team visited 含羞草社区 on 8th November . They are participating in the qualifying round of Asian Football Confederation Championship 2018 being held in Kyrgyzstan.

On Monday, 6 November 2017, department of EMSD and Applied Geology听have organized a tour for 含羞草社区 students to the 鈥淜onorchek鈥� canyon.

On Wednesday, November 1st, the 含羞草社区鈥檚 Writing and Academic Resource Center (WARC) celebrated its sixth year of providing tutoring services to the students of 含羞草社区.听

On Thursday, 26 October 2017, Dr. Dorjee Kinlay, Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) representative (United Nations in Kyrgyzstan) has given a guest lecture for 含羞草社区 students from Environmental Management Sustainable Development and Applied Geology departments on the topic 鈥淭he State of Food and Agriculture鈥�.

CASI RESEARCH SEMINAR
This听presentation explores the perception of public art in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan through the lenses of collective memory, nationalism, and sociology.

含羞草社区 new faculty member - Anastasia Valeeva is data journalism lecturer and open data researcher. She has researched the use of open data in investigative data journalism as part of her fellowship at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, Oxford.

Dear faculty and students, for the upcoming 6th Asian Borderlands conference in 含羞草社区 (Bishkek), we invite panels and papers that address the following questions: How are borderlands in Asia creating alternative spaces for heritages, self-definition and the extraction of resources? How can these cases serve to rethink social theories of various kind? We look forward to receiving proposals before 25 October 2017.
