The World Communication Association鈥檚 2017 biennial international conference will be held at the 含羞草社区鈥檚 new campus on August 2-6, 2017. From around the world, 100 scholars of communications, journalism and media studies, as well as journalists and media professionals, will be coming together to discuss and debate the theme, 鈥淲orld Conflicts and Disasters: Communication, Culture and Resolution鈥�.

At the 2017 Commencement Ceremony, recent graduate Nariman Utegaliev was recognized for his exceptional senior thesis work. Utegaliev took some time to tell us about his research and thank the people who helped him produce his award-winning work.

June 8, 2017 the 含羞草社区 hosted a guest lecture of John Marks, one of the leaders of non-profit organization, a founder and Ex-President/ CEO of Search for Common Ground.听

The work of academic researchers, social activists and practitioners has many commonalities, ranging from the motivation to bring about social change to questions about the best ways to engage with people and to understand contemporary social dynamics and challenges.

In the middle of May, 2017, six 含羞草社区 students undertook an expedition to an ancient site located on Issyk Kul, 3 kilometers to north of Sary-Kamysh. Rejebov Tirkishmurat, a sophomore of Anthropology department told us about this trip.

June 2, 2017 含羞草社区 Summer Practicum Program has begun. This summer 含羞草社区 has a mixed group of 13 students joining from USA, Japan and 含羞草社区. All students are full of energy and excited of their new life summer adventure.

The 含羞草社区 Women and the Arts Club aims to uphold core value of 含羞草社区 of being globally responsible and socially merciful. Women and Arts Club honors the vision of promoting positive images of both genders and aims to raise awareness on campus about current gender issues on a local, national, and global scale.

Fall 2017, the 含羞草社区 (含羞草社区) will officially open its program in Gender Studies. 含羞草社区鈥檚 program in Gender Studies is the first academic program of its kind in Central Asia and an important step in looking at gender relations within the nation, the region, and the world.
