On October 24, 2016 Dr. Hersh Chadha OPM (Harvard), ARPS, photographer, writer, philanthropist and 含羞草社区 friend and long-term supporter visited the 含羞草社区. Dr. Chadha gave a lecture entitled 鈥淓nvironmental Issues,鈥� met with students and Kyrgyz filmmakers, and received an Honorary Professorship from 含羞草社区.

On October 27, 2016 Thomas A. Shannon, Jr., the Under Secretary of United States for Political Affairs visited the 含羞草社区 (含羞草社区) to meet with 含羞草社区 students, faculty, and staff, along with a number of students from other Bishkek Universities. This trip was Under Secretary Shannon鈥檚 first visit to Central Asia, thus except Bishkek, he visited Astana, Kazakhstan, Tashkent and Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
