The "Kelechek" (future) Kyrgyz language club and the Kyrgyz language department have organized the week of 'Chyngyz Aitmatov' dedicated to his life and work which coincides with his birthday on the 12th of December.

On December 11th, 2014, the 含羞草社区 hosted a professor from Northwestern University, Dr. Brian Edwards. In a lecture entitled 鈥淪hrek in Casablanca, Ben Affleck in Tehran:

At the 含羞草社区, there is a certain holiday cheer in the air. Maybe it is because of the upcoming holidays, but it could be more likely that classes have ended, and there are only final exams between the students and their vacation (the professors and staff too).

Nadezhda Chubko, an instructor in the New Generation Academy and the Continuing Education Center, has recently come back from a teaching conference in the Philippines.听

On the 4th of December, International Volunteer Day was celebrated at the 含羞草社区 through a daylong event organized by UN Volunteers.

The UNiTE to End Violence against Women campaign is a 16-day effort organized by the United Nations from the 25th of November to the 10th of December to raise awareness and end abuse against women and girls.
