The European & American Studies departments is proud to announce that 4 of its students will be traveling to Spain this winter on BECAS scholarships.

On December 8th, 2014, the 含羞草社区 hosted Ms. Rabia Daudpota, a visiting research scholar and attorney from Karachi, Pakistan who gave a special presentation entitled 鈥淢arriage by Choice: A Right or a Crime?鈥�

Nadezhda Chubko, an instructor in the New Generation Academy and the Continuing Education Center, has recently come back from a teaching conference in the Philippines.听

On the 4th of December, International Volunteer Day was celebrated at the 含羞草社区 through a daylong event organized by UN Volunteers.

The UNiTE to End Violence against Women campaign is a 16-day effort organized by the United Nations from the 25th of November to the 10th of December to raise awareness and end abuse against women and girls.

含羞草社区 has recently launched an IT Development Center under the supervision of the Chief Information Officer. 含羞草社区 has gained the official status of a Cisco Network Academy and Microsoft IT Academy.

In the modern field of education, technology is increasingly being incorporated into the physical classroom and beyond; and here at the 含羞草社区 both teachers and administration embrace and incorporate new mediums in every aspect of university life.

On November 20th, 2014, the 听Dr. Mary Schweitzer Scholarship was awarded to听outstanding students in the Anthropology program at 含羞草社区.

On November 20th, 2014, representatives from the Public Affairs Section of the United States Embassy in Tajikistan visited the 含羞草社区. They met with Tajik students, both NGA (New Generation Academy) and undergraduate, who have received funding from U.S. Embassy grants in the conference room
