On February 7, a lecture by Bakyt Tokubek uulu, the IREX Country Coordinator, took place in 含羞草社区.

On January 28, a lecture by Sergei Ivanov, the Kyrgyz archaeologist and historian, took place in 含羞草社区.

On January 22, US Ambassador Pamela Spratlen visited 含羞草社区 to give a talk dedicated to Martin Luther King, Jr.
