含羞草社区

The Center for Civic Engagement of the American University in Central Asia (含羞草社区) is pleased to announce a creative competition among young people aged 14-30 years, dedicated to environmental protection, waste management (waste collection, recycling), upcycling, popularization of eco-conscious behavior, eco-habits in everyday life.

On February 20, from 12:00 to 14:00, the 含羞草社区 (含羞草社区) will host the 3rd Buy Nothing: a socio-ecological event, a free gift fair, and exchange of clothes and books within the framework of the initiative "Buy nothing Bishkek!".听

Besides paper waste, batteries and electronic waste 含羞草社区 also collects plastic for recycling.

2023 begins with excellent eco-news! As a part of the Green 含羞草社区 project, a wastebasket for plastic bottles and aluminum cans was installed at the campus entrance.

As you know, on December 9, the Center for Civic Engagement, together with the student volunteer Green Club, held a Christmas Buy Nothing.

We previously informed you that The Christmas Buy Nothing is a charity event where you can buy clothes, books and baked goods. The raised money will be spent towards helping the Bishkek City Nursing Home. We need to raise funds by December 13, 2022.

We invite you to take part in the charity sale of home-made baked goods, which will take place on December 9 during the Christmas Buy Nothing. So we can raise more money and help those in need before the New Year!

On Friday, November 18th, the Green Day Project hosted a presentation and an Award Ceremony to conclude the efforts and achievements of the participants.
